Solaris Tallinn
Opened in fall 2009, the Solaris Tallinn was the first to introduce the world-class possibilities for hosting major international conferences and meetings in Tallinn, Estonia.
It is the most modern event venue in the Nordic countries and the largest contemporary conference facility in Estonia, ready to meet the most exquisite and demanding needs and to impress any delegate. In addition to the excellent facilities of the centre, the location of Solaris Tallinn is hard to measure up to – virtually surrounded by all the finest hotels, the convention centre lies just a short stroll away from the heart of the stunning Old Town, with most of the essential sights of the city.
Capacity
The total area of the Solaris Tallinn convention centre Grand Hall is 3653 m2, fitting a total of 1830 guests.
- 1029 in the parter, 493 on 1st balcony and 308 on the 2nd balcony.
- 8 first rows of the parter removable, clearing up 190m2 of floor space, leaving 716 seats in the parter.
Stage
The Grand Hall has a 20x14 m main stage with a portal of 9m in height.
A back stage (68 m2), two side stages (93 m2 and 100 m2), and a 19x10 m extra screen are available, in addition to stage elevators and other necessary stage equipment.
Technical equipment
The hall is equipped with the most modern video, light and sound solutions and is using electronic acoustic enhancement system. Additional equipment installation possibilities by request.
Fast and free wireless Internet is available everywhere in the building.
Catering
Purposely furnished catering sections with supporting spaces (personnel wardrobe, space for preparations and cleaning) are prepared for the service providers.
There are a dozen of cafés and restaurants in Solaris centre available for collective or individual dining in various styles.
Translation service
Possibility of installing 6 translation booths on the first balcony.
There are additional video and sound channels available through local video monitoring and sound system for translation services, with a possibility to record the signal.
Backstage
The building has a multitude of supporting rooms in various sizes in the backstage area for organisers, staff and performers, including private wardrobes. All of the rooms are equipped with monitors.
Easy access for all
The conference facilities have been designed with the physically challenged in mind, having a spacious elevator and easily accessible private restrooms on each floor.
The Grand Hall also features several specially adapted seats in a comfortable arrangement and with a good view.
Additional facilities
The 3300 m2 of multifunctional foyers are distributed throughout the five floors of Solaris Tallinn. All foyers are equipped for offering catering services. The spaces are also suitable for exhibitions and presentations.
There is a 250 m2 café on the ground floor, available for receptions, catering or to be used as an additional seminar room. The foyers as well as the cafes are equipped with monitors, which can be used to screen event information.
Solaris Tallinn also allows several additional rooms to be used during the functions – in addition to the the Grand Hall, the lobbies and the cafe, the Solaris cinema centre halls in various sizes serve as fully functional convention and presentation rooms:

Tallinn Press Centre
The building houses a 45-seat, separately accessible hall, used mainly as a press centre, equipped keeping in mind the most modern needs for hosting a press conference.
The centre has 6 desk stand microphones, a radio microphones, a camera podium with audio output for cameras and dictaphones, speakers, a screen, TV set, a Blu-ray player, a webcam, a central equipment control system, a digital translation and convention system, and a make-up room.
